Lemon Donuts with Lemon Glaze are full of summery flavor. Sweet with just the right amount of lemony tartness, these baked doughnuts will hit the spot!
I have been going through my kitchen, attempting to organize things. For all of our marriage, I’ve had quite a bit of cupboard space, up until 2 years ago when we moved to the homestead.
Our house is much smaller than the one we came from, and for the most part I’ve figured out how to make it work. But the kitchen is a completely different story.
So in the going through stuff process, I’ve had to decide which pans, bowls, etc are worth keeping, and which I don’t use enough to warrant taking up my precious cabinet space. As I was going through and trying to decide, I came across my donut pans and decided that I needed to whip up another batch of homemade baked donuts to see if my donut pans were something that I could part with (spoiler alert– they aren’t!).
As it was a dreary day and we’d been having a lot of heavy foods due to the holidays, I really wanted a donut that would be cheerful and taste summery. This led me to decide that lemon donuts with lemon glaze needed to happen at my house!
I found this amazing recipe from Averie Cooks, and set about making my own yummy donuts.
I have 2 donut pans (if you purchase through this link, your price stays the same, but I get a few cents to help run this blog) so I can make a dozen at a time. I mean, really, if you’re going to put forth the effort of baking something, 6 donuts just doesn’t seem worth it.
These donuts hit the spot. They were moist and sweet, with some tartness. The lemon glaze was good enough to eat with a spoon, and added tartness to the donuts. I hope you’ll enjoy making this recipe!
