We've had a lot of extra wildlife around the homes We've had a lot of extra wildlife around the homestead recently. At least 7 baby skunks and 1 raccoon. The baby skunks play by spraying each other to get better at aiming. 🫤 The dog got sprayed, and so did a teenager (who was really put out when I didn't let him sit on the couch 😬🤪). Things are always exciting-- and sometimes smelly-- around here. 🦨 #idahohomesteader #homesteadlife #babyskunk #idahohomestead #barnlife
One of my hens has gone broody, and I'm thinking a One of my hens has gone broody, and I'm thinking about sneaking chicks under her at night. Have you had luck with this method? I assume I need to have food and water nearby for the chicks-- is this enough room for that? The container our hen picked has about a 6 inch side, so u don't think chicks could easily get out of it-- is that okay? I'll have the brooder ready in case she rejects them.
