Here in Idaho, the weather goes from tons of snow and freezing, almost straight into 80 and 90 degree weather. We are also at a high elevation, so our nights can easily get down into the 40s and 50s.
This can make it a bit hard to get acclimated to the high temperatures. There’s no easing into heat here. One day we’re in sweaters, and the next day we’re in tank tops! And sometimes that’s even possible between morning and noontime!
To make the heat a little more bearable, we enjoy homemade popsicles and cold drinks like this Virgin Frozen Peach Margarita. It’s a fun drink that makes the kids feel very grown up, especially since they get to drink it in margarita glasses.
I also like that it’s a festive drink that I can feel pretty good about. It’s packed full of fruit, with just one can of soda split between the entire batch.
If you’re having a barbecue or picnic, these Virgin Frozen Peach Margaritas go perfectly with chicken, beef, or pork! Peach is such a wonderfully versatile fruit that pairs well with so many other flavors, which is one of the reasons I love it!
I planted 2 peach trees this year, and I’m so excited to be able to have fresh peaches, hopefully next year! There’s nothing better than a sun-warmed peach, straight off of the tree!
