I love making my own seasonings.  Not only does it save money, but I love that I can customize the seasonings to be exactly how I want them.

I also love knowing exactly what’s in my seasonings.  No worries about fillers, MSG, or other undesirable ingredients– homemade spice mixes are filled with just the best ingredients, nothing more, nothing less.

That’s why homemade seasonings and spice mixes are part of my Well Stocked Pantry.

When I recently introduced my kids to Cajun Seasoning, I was shocked by how much they loved it.  I’ve used it to make delicious Creamy Cajun Sauce, Cajun Meatballs, and we’ve even used it on things like scrambled eggs.

Cajun Seasoning adds tons of flavor with a bit of spice to any dish.

How can I customize this DIY Cajun Seasoning?

If you are a big spice lover, you can increase the amount of cayenne pepper.  If you don’t love the spice, decrease the amount of cayenne pepper.

If you’re following a low-sodium diet, you can swap out the garlic salt for garlic powder.  If swap out the garlic salt, you may need to slightly adjust recipes you use this in, since that is the only salt in this seasoning.

When it comes down to it, you can customize this recipe in any way you want.  DIY seasonings can be customized to exactly the way you want them to be!
