Sweetened with maple syrup, this Maple Steamer recipe is a lightly sweet, comforting hot beverage.
We love hot beverages during the fall and winter. There’s coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and steamers that happen at my house daily.
This maple steamer is sweetened entirely with maple syrup. I’m on a bit of a maple kick right now, with Caramelized Maple Pecan Fudge, Maple Caramel Corn, and now this Maple Steamer.
Maple syrup is delicious to sweeten with. It adds a depth of flavor and richness to any recipe, replacing refined sugar. Maple syrup can be a great refined sugar replacer, since it is lower on the glycemic index than sugar. Plus it’s high in antioxidants, and contains potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, and zinc.
