One of my hens has gone broody, and I'm thinking a One of my hens has gone broody, and I'm thinking about sneaking chicks under her at night. Have you had luck with this method? I assume I need to have food and water nearby for the chicks-- is this enough room for that? The container our hen picked has about a 6 inch side, so u don't think chicks could easily get out of it-- is that okay? I'll have the brooder ready in case she rejects them. Some days, I probably take on more than I should. Some days, I probably take on more than I should. . Today, I got the urge to bake. I wanted to make rolls to go with soup for dinner. While I was making rolls, I decided to also make hamburger buns for tomorrow's dinner, and pizza dough (not pictured) for Saturday's dinner. And then-- since I obviously didn't have enough going on-- I threw together cinnamon rolls, as well. . I milled all the wheat first (1700 grams), and then had two KitchenAid mixers going. . I got ingredients in one and got it kneading, then started on the other, and went back and forth like that.
