Don’t you just love all the fresh fruits and veggies that are available during the summer?

My family especially loves berries: strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries.  So when I was given the opportunity to share an ice cream recipe with you, I decided I wanted to make a fun, fruity, summery ice cream.

Margaritas just seem like a summer drink to me.  Margaritas are cool and refreshing, especially when they’re frozen.  So all these thoughts came together to create the idea for Blackberry Margarita Ice Cream.

Blackberry margarita ice cream doesn’t have a ton of alcohol in it, since that would cause the ice cream not to harden very well.

This blackberry margarita ice cream is smooth and creamy, with a sweet delicious berry flavor.  If you’re not a fan of the seeds in blackberries, you can mash up the blackberries and use a strainer to get the majority of the seeds out.

You can also make this recipe with a different berry, if you prefer.
