Grilled Peach Crisp is a deliciously simple foil packet recipe that can be grilled on the barbecue or cooked over the coals of a campfire.
I ordered peaches this year to can. I have only canned peaches one other time in my life, and it was probably 10 years ago with my mom. I forgot how much work it is!
There are 48 quarts on the shelf, and I’m feeling very accomplished. I figure by the time I get all the stickiness of the floors and counters and cabinet fronts, the pears I ordered should be ready.
I made Dan put this foil-packet grilled peach crisp on the barbecue.I had to twist his arm, since everyone who knows him knows how much he hates desserts and sweets (wink, wink).
The truth is, my husband has a serious sweet tooth. And while I don’t particularly like candy, I love baked goods. And this grilled peach crisp was amazing.
This would be a great recipe to take camping. You could have them mixed up and in foil packets ahead of time and then just throw them on the coals. Or they’re so simple to prepare, that you could make them there. I tried to keep the measurements easy for just that reason.
Each recipe of grilled peach crisp can easily be shared between two people, but it also wouldn’t be too ridiculously much for just one person. It doesn’t require ice cream, but I love melted ice cream on my fruit crisp, so I recommend it.
- 1 Peach chopped
- 1/4 C. Brown Sugar
- 1/4 C. Walnuts chopped
- 1/4 C. Oats
- 1 Tbsp. Butter, cut in pieces
Preheat your grill to about 450 degrees.
Spread chopped peach on a 12" x 12" square of aluminum foil.
Sprinkle with brown sugar, oats, and nuts.
Evenly disperse chopped butter over the top.
Fold corners of the foil up towards the center, and crimp the edges together to make it sealed all around.
Cook on the grill for about 15 minutes, or until peaches are cooked to your liking.
My kids keep asking for more of this delicious grilled peach crisp, but after canning all of those peaches, I think I might be a little peached out!
